Global Learning

We are all learners and teachers in our globalized contexts and can empower each other - if we would just be more connected

What is Global Learning

Global Learning aims at

"Understanding the complexity of the world, interconnectedness and interdependency of local and global issues and how to solve these issues through action"

(GCED Online Campus)

Global Learning is an educational concept which wants to convey its learners with the competencies to orientate in our complex world, understand their own role in it and get active for a global togetherness. It teaches us to refute stereotypes and work together for a better future while appreciating each other's strengths, no matter where we are from.

 GLOBAL LEARNING is ...

... getting to know each other

... to see diversity as potential

... to listen to and learn from each other

... a process of sharing

... eye opening to global structures

... to refute stereotypes and single stories

... to decolonize our own thinking

... the will to understand other perspectives

... critical thinking

... a reflection of power structures

... a motivation to work for change

... networking

... to care for each other

... intercultural exchange

... strengthening each other

... a lifelong learning process
